The practice of responsible AI is more than just an advancement in technology; it is a fundamental and methodological approach to designing ethical AI products. Amazon Web Services (AWS) CEO Adam Selipsky joins Yahoo Finance Executive Editor Brian Sozzi on Opening Bid to discuss how AWS is weaving responsible AI into their product development.

After 3 years as CEO, Selipsky recently announced his resignation. He will be succeed by Matt Garman, effective June 3.

What's your biggest concern around A I, I think that there's a lot to be focused on and concerned with in A I because it is, it is such a big wave and it's going to be transformational.

I think there's a couple of things, one of which is, it's moving so quickly.

Um It would be easy to anticipate wrong, to guess wrong and to build the wrong things that don't turn out to be exactly what customers need the most.

And so it's really important for us to be incredibly close to our customers.

And we have an advantage in that we have these deep, deep multi year relationships with not only the leading start ups but with big enterprises, you know, and financial services, that's National Australia Bank and Capital one and JP Morgan Chase and H BS C and many others, Santander.

And that's just financial services.

You can kind of go through those same type of lists and other industries.

And I think they, they keep us on track, they tell us, you know, what we need to build.

And again, it's not just them, it's the hottest start ups in the world, the anthropic the perplexities, the pool sides the hugging faces, who, who really help to determine our road map.

So I think that's one issue is making sure that we get it right.

Customers need a lot in a short period of time and we really have to deliver.

And then the second is responsible A I and A I safety and making sure that we do our part as leaders to ensure that customers can use A I responsibly.

And we put a lot of features in that automatically promote A I safety and responsible A I into the services that uh that we're releasing.

I think that's one of a few big reasons why so many customers, tens of thousands of customers are now using services like Amazon bedrock to manage and use their A I MODELS.
