UN Security Council to vote on new N.Korea sanctions on Monday afternoon - diplomats

UNITED NATIONS, Sept 10 (Reuters) - The U.N. Security Council is set to vote on Monday afternoon on a U.S.-drafted resolution to impose new sanctions on North Korea over its latest nuclear test, diplomats said, but it was not clear whether veto-holding China and Russia would support it.

A resolution needs nine votes in favor and no vetoes by the United States, Britain, France, Russia or China to pass. The United States gave the draft resolution to the 15-member council on Wednesday. (Reporting by Michelle Nichols; Editing by Paul Tait)
