TV shows boost Time Warner

Time Warner (TWX) earned 98 cents a share in Q4, up 16.1% and beating views by a nickel, but the gain marked a slowdown after 3 straight quarters of accelerating earnings growth. Revenue slipped 1% to $7.53 bil, just below views of $7.55 bil, but was boosted by HBO's "Game of Thrones" and "True Detective." HBO's revenue rose 6.2% to $1.34 bil. Its outlook for '15 EPS was $4.60-$4.70, roughly in line with views for $4.66. Shares rose 0.3% to 81.01.
