The Rolling Stones are staging a comeback on the music scene with their first new album in 18 years.

The legendary British rock act — comprised of Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood – will officially announce the new project, titled “Hackney Diamonds,” via a YouTube interview with Jimmy Fallon that will be livestreamed from London on Wednesday.

According to BBC, “hackney diamonds” is local slang for shards of broken glass left on the ground after car and shop windows are smashed during a robbery.

The new opus will include music the band recorded with late Stones drummer Charlie Watts, who died in 2021. Fellow British rocker Paul McCartney will be featured playing bass on one track. Elton John is rumored to have contributed, too, alongside original Rolling Stones bassist Bill Wyman, who is now 86.

Last week, the Rolling Stones teased the forthcoming project with a fake advertisement for a glass repair shop that was published in the east London-based Hackney Gazette.

Running in the local newspaper, the fake ad contained references to several of the band’s biggest hits, including “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction,” “Gimme Shelter” and “Shattered.” Another Easter egg was the year “Est. 1962,” a reference to when the group formed. According to NME, the promotion also used a font similar to the one used on the cover of “Some Girls,” the group’s 1978 album.

“Hackney Diamonds” is the 31st studio album from the Rock & Roll Hall of Famers; it’s also their first recording of original songs since 2005′s “A Bigger Bang.”
