Survey methodology
The 2016 Purchase Protection Benefits Survey of 100 credit cards was conducted in November 2016 by CreditCards.com. The selection of reviewed cards is a representative sampling of cards from all major U.S. card issuers. Benefit information was gathered from card benefit guides, card issuer websites and calls to issuers.
