No progress yet in U.S.-Mexico sugar talks -Mexican sugar chamber

MEXICO CITY, May 15 (Reuters) - No progress was made in the first day of renewed talks between Mexico and the United States over how much Mexican refined and crude sugar can enter the United States, the head of Mexico's sugar chamber said on Monday.

Juan Cortina told Reuters that the talks will continue but that there was "no deal yet." Earlier this month Mexico and the United States agreed to extend the deadline for reaching a deal to June 5. (Reporting By Adriana Barrera; Writing by Mitra Taj; Editing by Sandra Maler)
