‘Lock her up’: Chris Christie leads mock trial of Hillary Clinton·CNBC

CLEVELAND – New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie played judge and jury Tuesday night in bashing Hillary Clinton at the Republican National Convention.

Christie, a former presidential nominee himself, led a pseudo mock trial of Clinton in which he criticized her policies, judgment and decisions as they related to global security.

"Here's what we are going to do. We're going to present the facts," he said. "She was America's chief diplomat, so let's look around the world in every region that has been infected by her judgment."

Christie said she called Syrian leader Bashar Assad "a reformer; a different kind of leader. There are now 400,000dead at the hands of the man she defended."

"Hillary Clinton as an inept negotiator: guilty or not guilty," Christie asked, to which the crowd chanted "lock her up."

Christie also bashed Clinton over her handling of classified emails while she was State secretary and calling her a liar. "Time after time, the facts and just the facts lead you to the same verdict around the world and at home."

FBI Director James Comey decided not to pursue criminal charges against Clinton, after a months-long investigation.

After Christie's speech, Clinton's camp responded with a tweet that read: "If you think Chris Christie can lecture anyone on ethics, we have a bridge to sell you."
