JetBlue will charge bag fees

The discount airline along with Southwest (LUV) were the last 2 carriers to provide a free checked bag. But under its new "Fare Families" platform, its "Better" option won't feature a complimentary free checked bag. JetBlue (JBLU) also said that it will add 15 more seats to its A320s, bringing the total seats to 165. Its A320s have a current seat pitch of 34.7 inches. Adding the new seats will reduce it to 33.1. B/E Aerospace (BEAV) is providing the seats for the revamp. JetBlue shares rose 4.1% to 13.25. Southwest fell 1% to 39.27.
