Inditex Earnings, Revenue Miss in Q2

Investing.com - Inditex (MC:ITX) reported on Wednesday second quarter earnings that missed analysts' forecasts and revenue that fell short of expectations.

Inditex announced earnings per share of €-0.13 on revenue of €3.30B. Analysts polled by Investing.com anticipated EPS of €-0.03 on revenue of €3.53B.

Inditex shares are down 16% from the beginning of the year , still down 19.04% from its 52 week high of €32.28 set on February 20. They are under-performing the Euro Stoxx 50 which is down 12.05% year to date.

Inditex follows other major Services sector earnings this month

Inditex's report follows an earnings missed by Telefonica on May 28, who reported EPS of €0.06 on revenue of €11.37B, compared to forecasts EPS of €0.24 on revenue of €11.31B.

Inmobiliaria Colonial had beat expectations on May 13 with second quarter EPS of €0.07 on revenue of €86M, compared to forecast for EPS of €0.06 on revenue of €86.43M.
