Aveva Earnings, Revenue Miss in Q1

Investing.com - Aveva reported on Tuesday first quarter earnings that missed analysts' forecasts and revenue that fell short of expectations.

Aveva announced earnings per share of £0.32 on revenue of £441.9M. Analysts polled by Investing.com anticipated EPS of £65.77 on revenue of £451.96M.

Aveva shares are down 14.08% from the beginning of the year , still down 21.81% from its 52 week high of £5,350.00 set on February 20. They are under-performing the STOXX 600 which is down 11.13% year to date.

Aveva follows other major Technology sector earnings this month

Aveva's report follows an earnings missed by Sage on May 13, who reported EPS of £0.2 on revenue of £975.0M, compared to forecasts EPS of £14.17 on revenue of £961.50M.

Kainos Group PLC had missed expectations on May 26 with fourth quarter EPS of £0.07 on revenue of £91.89M, compared to forecast for EPS of £8.94 on revenue of £89.45M.
