In this episode of Stocks In Translation, Yahoo Finance Markets and Data Editor Jared Blikre and producer Sydnee Fried welcome Demetri Kofinas, the host of Hidden Forces podcast, to discuss the future of the US dollar.

According to Kofinas, the dollar is far more complex and decentralized than most realize. In fact, Kofinas points out that the US dollar (DX-Y.NYB) is the most decentralized global currency, with trillions of dollars circulating outside the control of the US Federal Reserve “by third parties, banks, other financial intermediaries, people outside the US that have no relationship to the banking system.”

He added that this system drives global demand for the dollar.

Twice a week, Stocks In Translation cuts through the market mayhem, noisy numbers, and hyperbole to give you the information you need to make the right trade for your portfolio. You can find more episodes here or watch on your favorite streaming service.
