Time now for to watch Thursday, May 15th, sponsored by Tasty Trade. And start off on the earnings front. We're going to be getting a robust round of reports tomorrow. That will include Walmart, Alibaba and Take Two. Walmart announced results for the first quarter in the morning. Analyst expecting Walmart's same store sales to rise in Q1, driven by value seeking consumers and a strong Easter season, but sales of general merchandise may grow slower due to cautious spending and tariff woes.
And taking a look at the economy, some fresh inflation data coming tomorrow morning with the producer price index. Economists forecasting both total and core PPI to increase to 0.2% and 0.3%, respectively. That's on a month-over-month basis signaling a return to inflationary pressures in supply chains.
And moving over to the Fed, we're going to be getting some more Fed commentary tomorrow, including Fed chair Jerome Powell. President Trump, we know, taking a two social again yesterday, expressing his frustration with Powell, calling for the Fed chair to lower interest rates.
