The US Federal Trade Commission is reportedly moving ahead with an antitrust probe of Microsoft. This is according to Bloomberg. The move signals that President Donald Trump's new FTC chair Andrew Ferguson is going to prioritize still a focus on the tech giants. Microsoft did take a little bit of a leg lower on the news, but it is still in the green today. And this really is in keeping with the other stories that we have seen from now this administration, you know, involving some of the other tech companies that pretty much they're staying the course on some of the already existing um probes, investigations, actions.

And not too surprising, right? I mean, if you were listening to Trump on the campaign trail, he would often make that sort of interesting distinction, and we talked about during between big tech and little tech, and clearly a fan of what he would call little tech. Big tech often, you know, not so much. And Andrew Ferguson, now our man at the FTC, is is described as very much a member of that sort of populist wing of the GOP, you know, tend not to be great fans of corporate power in general.

Right. But it is it is an interesting distinction when we talk about deregulation by this administration. It does not include this.

Not big tech. Right. Yeah. It's the thing when we talked about the M&A lawyers like, did you expect M&A in tech? We would have had guests on the show would say in little tech.
