President-elect Donald Trump has threatened to levy import tariffs against China, Mexico, and Canada. Stock futures (ES=F, NQ=F, YM=F) appear mixed this morning on the headline, while shares Big Three automakers Ford (F), Stellantis (STLA), and General Motors (GM) move into negative territory in pre-market trading.

Wall Street will be listening for the Federal Reserve to release the minutes from its November FOMC meeting, looking for any hints into the central bank's sentiments around its interest rate path ahead of its December meeting.

According to Bloomberg, Intel (INTC) is set to receive $7.9 billion in CHIPS Act grants from the US government, while the chipmaker's interest in acquiring Qualcomm (QCOM) has cooled.
