Three takeaways from Fed Chair Powell's rate policy comments

The Federal Reserve continues to hold interest rates where they are in January, with Fed Chair Jerome Powell later commenting that the central bank isn't in any hurry to adjust its fiscal policy plans for 2025.

J.P. Morgan Asset Management fixed income portfolio manager Kelsey Berro sits down with Seana Smith and Brad Smith to share her three biggest takeaways from Powell's press conference that followed the conclusion of the Fed's January FOMC meeting on Wednesday.

"Does Chair Powell still believe that policy is restrictive?" Berro ponders. "He said, yes, it is less restrictive than it was, we're 100 basis points lower on the Fed funds rate. But yes, policy is still restrictive."

Watch the video above to hear all three of Berro's takeaways from Jerome Powell's comments.
