Tesla's (TSLA) third quarter earnings results are due out later today, reporting after Wednesday's market close. The first of the Magnificent Seven tech names to report this earnings season, it is likely to be the only company in that group to report declining profits.

Yahoo Finance senior markets reporter Josh Schafer provides an analysis of Tesla's stock performance after reporting past earnings as analysts also wait to hear from CEO Elon Musk on the EV maker's earnings call.
