Taiwan Semiconductor (TSM) and Samsung (005930.KS) are reportedly in talks to build factory complexes in the United Arab Emirates, according to the Wall Street Journal. Top executives from Taiwan Semiconductor have visited the country and are discussing building a plant similar to some of its advanced facilities in Taiwan. Meanwhile, Samsung senior leaders have also visited the country and are exploring the possibility of new chipmaking operations there.
