Small businesses feel 'nervousness' yet 'optimism' amid tariffs

Markets are responding to President Trump’s tariff decisions, and small businesses are feeling the effects of potential price increases. Elizabeth Gore, Hello Alice co-founder and host of Yahoo Finance's upcoming podcast, "The Big Idea," joins Market Domination Overtime to share her insights on how small businesses are navigating the uncertainty created by tariffs.

“There’s a sense of nervousness, particularly when you think about your coffee shop, your dry cleaners, folks who have to buy supplies day in and day out," she explains. "The cost of goods sold are going to go up whether we like it or not, and [small businesses are] either going to have to absorb that cost or they're going to have to pass it onto the consumer."

However, despite challenges, Gore notes, "The reason I love small businesses is they are resilient, and there is an overall sense of optimism."
