Russia–Ukraine peace talks to include 'a lot of give and take'

US President Donald Trump says he had a "highly productive" call with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to start immediate negotiations to end the Russia-Ukraine war.

Wesley K. Clark & Associates chairman and CEO General Wesley Clark joins Catalysts with Madison Mills to discuss the recent developments and the potential impact on the energy trade.

"There's going to be a lot of give and take, and I think the Ukrainians and the Europeans are going to demand to be involved," Clark says. "Obviously, there's going to be some back and forth between the United States and Russia; that's inevitable in this case."

"The sticking points here are, first of all, how the security forces are structured. What is the security guarantee? What's the US role in this? The US has to be the backbone of this." he adds.
