Poland Presidential Election on June 1: What's at Stake

The Polish presidential election on June 1 will determine whether the country can overhaul judicial reforms and remain a reliable partner in the European Union after nearly a decade of divisive right-wing populism. Warsaw Mayor Rafal Trzaskowski, the candidate of Tusk's ruling Civic Coalition, edged out euroskeptic Law & Justice rival Karol Nawrocki in the first-round ballot.
