US stock futures (ES=F, NQ=F, YM=F) are getting a bump higher after November's Consumer Price Index (CPI) report saw consumer goods and services prices rise 0.3% month-over-month and 2.7% year-over-year.

Department store Macy's (M) reported its third quarter earnings this morning, which was delayed after discovering an employee hid $154 million in shipping expenses. The retailer is seeing its stock tumble in pre-market trading after releasing mixed results, eking by earnings estimates while falling $10 million short of its revenue estimates.

President-elect Donald Trump has named Federal Trade Commission (FTC) commissioner Andrew Ferguson to lead the agency as FTC chair, replacing current chair Lina Khan.
