Netflix's (NFLX) ad tier, which was launched about 2 years ago, has reached 70 million monthly active users globally. Netflix President ofAdvertising Amy Reinhard says in the release that "over 50% of new Netflix sign-ups are for the ads plan in ad-supported countries."
