Nasdaq, S&P 500, Dow jump, close February with monthly losses

US stocks (^DJI, ^IXIC, ^GSPC) turned the beat around and managed to close Friday's session in positive territory, the Nasdaq Composite leading significant gains by rising 1.63%. The Dow Jones Industrial Average ended up closing the week by 0.95% higher while all three of the market averages saw monthly declines in February.
