Most Americans aren't using all their PTO: Study

A recent Sorbet report reveals that 62% of Americans didn't utilize all their paid time off (PTO) in 2023. Veetahl Eilat-Raichel, Sorbet Co-Founder and CEO joins Wealth to discuss the importance of taking advantage of PTO.

Eilat-Raichel identifies rising inflation as a big factor in people forgoing their PTO this year. Increased travel costs and overall price hikes are "a huge driver" behind workers' decisions to skip their time off.

Despite these concerns, she strongly advises individuals to use their allotted time. "At the end of the day, we need to acknowledge that taking time off is important. It's proven to be helpful in reducing stress and improving productivity. If we try to glaze over that or find ways to do it, it's not going to be as effective overall."
