Miso Robotics, Nvidia partner for new 'Flippy' fry station technology

Nvidia (NVDA) is expanding beyond data centers, partnering with Miso Robotics in its latest AI project. Miso Robotics CEO Rich Hull joins Asking for a Trend to discuss the partnership and its aim to revolutionize the restaurant industry.

Hull emphasizes the company's focus on "strategic partnerships," highlighting Nvidia as a key collaborator "at the tip of the spear" in AI and technology. He notes that this partnership with Nvidia will give the company "unique and special access" to cutting-edge AI capabilities in restaurant automation.

A prime example of this collaboration is the Flippy fry station, powered by Nvidia's Vision AI technology. This system automates the fry-cooking process for various foods, including french fries, chicken nuggets, onion rings, and tacos.

"It takes over the heavy lifting on the fry station so you can take that labor and you can redeploy them somewhere else that brings far more impact in the restaurant," Hull explains.

As far as the cost of the technology, Hull notes that it will be the same price as hiring a human to do the labor, so there is no "downside" for companies.
