Microsoft (MSFT) will release its fiscal first quarter earnings report on October 30. Laffer Tengler Investments CEO and chief investment officer Nancy Tengler joins Catalysts to analyze the tech giant's upcoming results.

Tengler highlights key areas she'll be monitoring in Microsoft's earnings report, particularly the company's Azure cloud computing segment. "Is it going to continue to accelerate?" she questions. Beyond cloud performance, Tengler indicates she will closely watch the company's margin trends and forward guidance.

Tengler also notes the significance of Microsoft's AI initiatives. "I think we want to hear [about] the monetization of their AI chatbot [Copilot] and how that is going. Because that's the criticism of AI: that it has not been monetized," she told Yahoo Finance.
