Berg emphasized the urgency for those planning Christmas or New Year's travel, highlighting Travel Deal Tuesday as the final opportunity to secure favorable rates. According to Berg, airfares are expected to increase significantly between Travel Tuesday and the Christmas holiday period.

Looking ahead to 2025, Berg projects continued strong demand for travel. "We're definitely expecting another hot year for travel in 2025, and we don't see this as a post-pandemic trend anymore. This is a real fundamental shift in how travelers, especially younger travelers, are thinking about their discretionary income," she explains. Berg noted that consumers, particularly younger demographics, continue to prioritize travel spending over other discretionary purchases.
