"Your mentors are there to help give you context and confidence," he says. This includes all aspects of job hunting, negotiating, networking, and career guidance, as well as some of the more difficult pills to swallow, like having someone to "hold a mirror up to you and say 'You're the problem,'" McCaskill elaborates.
