iPhone SE 4 could be a huge moneymaker for Apple

In This Article:

It pays to sell a cheap iPhone if you are tech giant Apple. Actually, it could pay quite well. Apple (AAPL) is widely expected to release its latest cheaper iPhone dubbed the SE 4 on Wednesday. The phone is pegged to cost around $499. But don’t let the low price fool you into thinking it won’t be a major tailwind to Apple’s top and bottom lines this year. Evercore ISI tech analyst Amit Daryanani estimates the iPhone SE 4 could see 20 million-plus units sold in its first year on the market. Shipments at this volume could bring in about $12 billion in annual revenues just from the iPhone SE. The phone could juice Apple’s earnings by $0.20 to $0.25 a share.
