Across the board, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) report for November matched economists' expectations. Month over month, the index rose 0.3%. Year over year, it rose 2.7%. Stripping out the more volatile food and energy prices, the index rose 0.3% from October and 3.3% from a year ago. The report shows that shelter costs continue to be a big contributor to inflation.
