Fed leaves rates unchanged, projects fewer rate cuts this year: Yahoo Finance

The Federal Reserve left interest rates unchanged at its June policy meeting but is now forecasting fewer rate cuts to come by the end of this year. The Fed now sees only one rate in 2024 compared to the prior forecast of three. It comes on the heels of the cooler-than-expected May Consumer Price Index (CPI) report. Headline inflation was unchanged month-over-month and up only 0.2% on a core basis.
