Cisco (CSCO) CEO and chairman Chuck Robbins and Yahoo Finance Executive Editor Brian Sozzi examine sentiment about the national deficit among executives at the start of US President Donald Trump's second term.
"When you contemplate the fact that we're actually spending more to service our debt than we are in our military, that's just a troubling statistic," Robbins says, adding, "I think the business community appears to be more concerned about it than Washington does."
"Growth can be very helpful for the deficit, the Cisco CEO notes, adding, "I mean, if we can put pro-growth policies in place and really help our businesses thrive, help us create jobs and grow, then that's good for the economy and it, it'll help resolve the deficit over time."
