Dow closes at new record, Nasdaq and S&P 500 edge lower

The Dow Jones Industrial Average (^DJI) held onto gains in Thursday's session, closing by over 240 points higher and hitting a new record high. The Nasdaq Composite (^IXIC) slipped lower by 0.23% while the S&P 500 (^GSPC) ticked down just below its flatline. Although the S&P 500 was shy of clocking in a new record high, the index's resilience showed it was able to shake off any pressures tied to Nvidia's (NVDA) latest earnings.
