Imagine putting as much thought and style into your financial health as your outfit everyday — That’s Luke Bailey’s dream!

This week, Bailey, co-founder and CEO of the financial lifestyle brand Neon Money Club, joins Financial Freestyle with Ross Mac.

In the episode, Bailey emphasizes the importance of knowing when and how to invest. “I started working in banking at 19. I didn't start investing until I was in my thirties,” recalls Bailey. Not investing is a major misstep for anyone who understands the principles of compound interest.

Bailey shares a conversation he had with his co-founder and Chief Product Officer Jackie Liao, who had the same regret of not investing early enough. “We were like… what could we make that would be good for… ourselves back then?” Bailey ponders. “How can we make something that gets people started earlier?”

This question sparked the idea behind Neon Money Club’s "Cream Card," an American Express (AXP) card that allows users to invest their credit card reward points in the stock market. Bailey joined Yahoo Finance earlier in September to talk more about the launch of the Cream Card.

Bailey’s core mission with Neon Money Club is simple: to reframe how we think about finances.

“If anyone asks you… what is your dream car? What is your dream house? You'd be able to tell 'em,” Bailey continues. “But if somebody asks you… ‘what's your dream investment portfolio?’ Or ‘what's your dream, like, stock-to-cash portfolio,’ would you have that answer for 'em?”
