Cloudflare expected to deal with 'a variety' of chip providers: CTO

In This Article:

While AI demand continues to strengthen across industries — worrying Wall Street over whether chipmakers and operators can meet this demand — Cloudflare (NET) Chief Technology Officer John Graham-Cumming finds that "what we're seeing is the real growth of actual AI applications."

Graham-Cumming sits down with Seana Smith and Madison Mills on Yahoo Finance's Catalysts for a conversation about the broader AI landscape, including the heightened demand for Nvidia's (NVDA) landmark chips going into 2025.

"Obviously, Nvidia really is absolutely by far the market leader. But we continue to look at other chip manufacturers, other chips that are out there. And I fully expect over the next few years that within the Cloudflare network, there will be a variety of different providers for a variety of different types of models," the Cloudflare CTO states.

Graham-Cumming comments on the likelihood that his company will rely on several chip providers.
