Time now for the watch Wednesday, April 9th. For the start of on the tariff front. President Trump's reciprocal tariffs go into effect at midnight. Among those targeted is China, which is facing a steep 50% tariff in addition to 54% worth of tariffs, bringing the total to a 104% tariff on China.
And then there's earnings. We'll be getting some reporting from Delta and Constellation Brands tomorrow. Delta will announce results for the first quarter in the morning. It will be a key report for the airline industry. Remember Delta slashed its earnings outlook last month on weaker US demand.
And checking in on the Fed, some more Fed commentary coming tomorrow from Richmond Fed President Tom Barkin. This is coming after comments from San Francisco Fed President Mary Daly, earlier today. Daly saying the Fed can take its time for making any adjustments to interest rates as it waits to see how trade policy plays out.
