CATL Teases Five-Minute EV Charging With Longer Range Than BYD
Chinese battery maker CATL claims an upgraded version of an existing cell can offer 520 kilometers (323 miles) of range from just five minutes of charging, beating a BYD system that offers 400 kilometers in about the same time. The company unveiled the new system in Shanghai on Monday, ahead of the opening of the Shanghai Auto Show.
