BlackRock's Chaudhuri on the growing appeal of gold and bitcoin
There's a growing interest in alternative assets like gold (GC=F) and bitcoin (BTC-USD). On a recent episode of Opening Bid BlackRock Chief Investment & Portfolio Strategist, Americas, Gargi Chaudhuri spoke with Yahoo Finance Executive Editor Brian Sozzi, highlighting gold's longstanding valuable role, particularly during times of geopolitical stress. She says "Gold has been a really good store of value for centuries." She also pointed to the success of BlackRock’s Bitcoin ETF, IBIT (IBIT), which has seen over $50 billion in flows since its launch in 2024.
