Bessent Says US Not Engaged in Talks With China 'as of Yet'
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said the US is negotiating with 17 of the nations' "very important" trading partners but has not yet engaged in negotiations with China. Bessent expects to see a "substantial reduction in the tariffs we are being charged." He spoke Tuesday during a House Appropriations Committee hearing.
