Lyft (LYFT) CEO David Risher joins Julie Hyman and Josh Lipton on Market Domination to discuss Uber's (UBER) autonomous driving partnership and Lyft's strategy around the emerging technology.
Risher says autonomous driving is a "must-have" for rideshare companies. "Someday, all cars will be autonomous ... and for that reason, people are going to expect it on a rideshare platform for sure," he says, though he notes that the wide-scale adoption of autonomous vehicles may be decades out.
The CEO explains that currently, autonomous vehicles are being tested and used at such a small scale that it doesn't have a meaningful impact on Lyft's operations.
