Alibaba (BABA) unveils its new artificial intelligence (AI) reasoning model, QwQ-32B, stating it could rival DeepSeek's own AI while outperforming OpenAI's lower-cost model. Similar to DeepSeek's own market-rattling launch, Alibaba's introduction of QwQ-32B is being attributed as one aspect of Thursday morning's tech sell-off.
