'Fortnite' maker Epic brings game store to Android devices with Telefonica tie-up

The marketplace app, called "Epic Games Store", will be pre-installed on all new compatible Android devices operating on the Telefonica network across regions including Spain, the UK, Germany, Mexico and Spanish-speaking Latin America. The companies said the move would allow players to more easily download game titles such as "Fortnite", "Fall Guys" and "Rocket League Sideswipe" directly from Epic, rather than relying on conventional app marketplaces like Google's Play or Samsung's Galaxy store.

Telefonica awarded $380 million from Colombian government in arbitration, company says

MADRID/BOGOTA (Reuters) -Spanish telecoms company Telefonica said on Wednesday that the World Bank's International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) had ordered the Colombian government to pay it $380 million as part of an arbitration process. Colombia was also ordered to pay Telefonica's legal fees for the dispute that started in February 2018 and compound interest at a rate of 5% as compensation of the damages caused, Telefonica said.

Asterion agrees to sell data centre operator Nabiax to Aermont

Spanish infrastructure investment fund Asterion Industrial Partners and Telefonica agreed to sell Spanish data centre operator Nabiax to European asset manager Aermont Capital, the companies said on Monday in a joint statement. Nabiax owns two centres in Madrid and one in Barcelona with a combined installed power of 35 Megawatts. Asterion owns 80% in Nabiax and Telefonica owns the remaining 20%.
