Fund Summary

The fund invests primarily in a combination of Schwab Funds® and Schwab® ETFs (the underlying funds) in accordance with its target asset allocation. It has the flexibility to move within the following asset allocation ranges at the discretion of the investment adviser: 10-50% equity; 50-90% fixed income; and 0-12% cash and cash equivalents. The fund’s anticipated annual payout is expected to be 0-3% during a low interest rate environment, 3-5% during a normal interest rate environment, and 5+% during a high interest rate environment.

Management Information

Drew Hayes is a Portfolio Manager on the Multi-Asset Strategies Team for Schwab Asset Management. He supports the portfolio management process for multi-asset Schwab Funds®. Mr. Hayes has been with Schwab since 2006. Before becoming a portfolio manager, he spent seven years as a senior fixed income specialist for Schwab Wealth Advisory, Inc. Prior to that, he worked as a bond investment specialist for two years and as a registered representative for two years for Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. Mr. Hayes earned a Bachelor of Arts in international business from the University of Colorado at Denver. He is a CFA® charterholder.
