Fund Summary

The fund normally invests at least 80% of its assets in microcap value stocks. It buys microcap value stocks using a quantitative model. The managers define "microcap stocks" as stocks of companies that have market capitalization at the time of the fund's initial purchase of between $20 million and the market capitalization that marks the point between the 8th and 9th deciles of New York Stock Exchange listed stocks. The adviser defines "value stocks" primarily as those with low price-to-book characteristics.

Management Information

Lance F. James, Lead Manager since January 28, 2009
Lance is a managing director and a senior portfolio manager on the RBC U.S. Value & Core Equity team at RBC Global Asset Management (U.S.) Inc. As part of his role, he conducts research for these strategies. Prior to joining the firm in 2006, Lance was a portfolio manager and research analyst at two large American asset management firms. During his tenure with these firms, he served as head of their small-/mid-cap value team. Lance began his career in the investment industry in 1980.
