Indian refiners seek crude after US sanctions disrupt Russia oil supply

Indian refiners Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemical Ltd (MRPL) and Bharat Petroleum Corp Ltd (BPCL) issued tenders this week seeking crude oil, trade sources said on Tuesday, after harsher U.S. sanctions disrupted Russian supply. The tenders come more than a week after Washington announced sweeping sanctions targeting Russian producers and tankers, disrupting supply from the world's No. 2 producer and tightening ship availability. MRPL issued its first crude import tender in more than a year, seeking offers of 1 million or 2 million barrels on a cost and freight (C&F) or a delivered at port (DAP) basis to be delivered on Feb. 16-28, according to the notice and sources.

Trader Vitol sells Venezuelan oil to Indian refiners, trade sources say

Two Indian state refiners have bought 2 million barrels of Venezuelan crude from trading house Vitol for November delivery, trade sources said, as shipments to what previously was Venezuela's second largest oil market continue to grow. Indian refiners resumed imports of Venezuelan crude earlier this year after the U.S. Treasury Department authorized transactions for exports of crude and fuel despite sanctions targeted at President Nicolas Maduro's government. India's top refiner, Indian Oil Corp (IOC), is set to receive 1.2 million barrels of Venezuelan oil while Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals (MRPL) will get 800,000 barrels of oil, the sources with direct knowledge of the matter said.

India's MRPL issues expression of interest to sell jet fuel term supplies, sources say

India's Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd (MRPL) has issued an expression of interest to sell around 240,000 metric tons (1.89 million barrels) of jet fuel term supplies starting September, three sources said on Friday. Furthermore, the refiner does not typically offer term supplies, the third source said. MRPL typically can sell around 2 cargoes of around 60,000 tons of jet fuel on a monthly spot basis, but has not offered any term cargoes in the past two years, Reuters tenders records showed.
