Fund Summary

The fund invests in stocks of companies principally based outside the United States. It normally intends to invest at least 65% of its net assets in equity securities of small companies. The fund uses a "blend" strategy to gain investment exposure to both growth and value stocks, or to stocks with characteristics of both. The fund's portfolio management team invests in value and growth companies that the advisor believes to be undervalued relative to their fundamentals.

Management Information

Vincent J. McBride, Lead Manager since December 31, 2003
Mr. McBride is the director of international equity and is responsible for managing the following strategies. Mr. McBride joined Lord Abbett in 2003 and was named Partner in 2006. His prior experience includes: Managing Director & Head of International Equity Management at Warburg Pincus Asset Management/CSAM; International Equity Analyst at Smith Barney. Mr. McBride received a BS from the University of Delaware and an MBA from Rutgers University. He has been in the investment business since 1987
