(NYSE: CNP) or "CenterPoint" today reported net income of $297 million, or $0.45 per diluted share on a GAAP basis for the first quarter of 2025, compared to $0.55 per diluted share in the comparable period of 2024. This quarter over quarter unfavorable GAAP EPS variance was primarily driven by the loss on sale related to the Louisiana and Mississippi gas local distribution company ("LDC") sale.
