Investors are bracing for how U.S. stock market futures respond after Israel and Iran ramped up their aerial attacks early Sunday, and after President Donald Trump suggested that “it’s possible” the U.S. could get involved in the conflict. Trump told ABC that Iran was still talking to U.S. officials, saying: “They’d like to make a deal,” and that earlier talks canceled after Israel’s initial attacks late Thursday “may have forced a deal to go quicker.” Former Vice President Mike Pence told CNN’s State of the Union that the U.S. should be prepared to back Israel if Israel “needs our help to ensure that the Iranian nuclear program is destroyed once and for all.”
