The fund seeks to generate current income while also providing capital appreciation. It has wide flexibility in the types of securities used to generate a current income yield. The fund may also invest up to 30% of its net assets in securities of "foreign issuers." It may invest up to 25% of its net assets in securities of "foreign issuers" located in emerging markets.
