LOS ANGELES, February 18, 2025--Today Air Lease Corporation (NYSE: AL) announced long-term lease agreements with Qanot Sharq Airlines for five new Airbus A321neo aircraft, including three A321-200neo XLRs and two A321-200neo LRs. The aircraft are scheduled to deliver to the Uzbek airline in 2026 and 2027 from Air Lease’s orderbook with Airbus.

Delays in deliveries from major aircraft manufacturers are in some cases getting worse, and estimates of delay time can not be trusted, Steven Udvar-Hazy, the executive chairman of Air Lease Corp said on Monday. "Supply chain bottlenecks, OEM delays .. in some cases, are getting worse," Udvar-Hazy told the Airline Economics conference, using the term Original Equipment Manufacturer, which is used to refer to large manufacturers such as Boeing and Airbus. "You can't trust those notices," he said of delay notices from aircraft manufacturers are systematically extended.
